Beginning of the end

Five points to ponder

1. You cannot Legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the rich out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

5. When half the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, THAT IS THE BEGINING OF THE END OF ANY NATION!

Cloward-Piven Government

It is time to cast aside all remaining doubt. President Obama is not trying to lead America forward to recovery, prosperity and strength. Quite the opposite, in fact.
In September of last year, American Thinker published my article, Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis. Part of a series, it connected then-presidential candidate Barack Obama to individuals and organizations practicing a malevolent strategy for destroying our economy and our system of government. Since then, the story of that strategy has found its way across the blogosphere, onto the airwaves of radio stations across the country, the Glenn Beck television show, Bill O’Reilly, and now Mark Levin.
The methodology is known as the Cloward-Piven Strategy, and we can all be grateful to David Horowitz and his Discover the Networks for originally exposing and explaining it to us. He describes it as:
The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.
Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven were two lifelong members of Democratic Socialists of America who taught sociology at Columbia University (Piven later went on to City University of New York). In a May 1966 Nation magazine article titled “The Weight of the Poor,” they outlined their strategy, proposing to use grassroots radical organizations to push ever more strident demands for public services at all levels of government.
The result, they predicted, would be “a profound financial and political crisis” that would unleash “powerful forces … for major economic reform at the national level.”
They implemented the strategy by creating a succession of radical organizations, most notable among them the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), with the help of veteran organizer Wade Rathke. Their crowning achievement was the “Motor Voter” act, signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1993 with Cloward and Piven standing behind him.
As we now know, ACORN was one of the chief drivers of high-risk mortgage lending that eventually led to the financial crisis. But the Motor Voter law was another component of the strategy. It created vast vulnerabilities in our electoral system, which ACORN then exploited.
ACORN’s vote registration scandals throughout the U.S. are predictable fallout.
The Motor Voter law has also been used to open another vulnerability in the system: the registration of vast numbers of illegal aliens, who then reliably vote Democrat. Herein lies the real reason Democrats are so anxious for open borders, security be damned.
It should be clear to anyone with a mind and two eyes that this president and this Congress do not have our interests at heart. They are implementing this strategy on an unprecedented scale by flooding America with a tidal wave of poisonous initiatives, orders, regulations, and laws. As Rahm Emmanuel said, “A crisis is a terrible thing to waste.”
The real goal of “health care” legislation, the real goal of “cap-and-trade,” and the real goal of the “stimulus” is to rip the guts out of our private economy and transfer wide swaths of it over to the government to control. Do not be deluded by the propaganda. These initiatives are vehicles for change. They are not goals in and of themselves except in their ability to deliver power. They and will make matters much worse, for that is their design.
This time, in addition to overwhelming the government with demands for services, Obama and the Democrats are overwhelming political opposition to their plans with a flood of apocalyptic legislation. Their ultimate goal is to leave us so discouraged, demoralized, and exhausted that we throw our hands up in defeat. As Charles Rangel* said, “the middle class will be too distracted to fight.”
These people are our enemies. They don’t use guns, yet, but they are just as dangerous, determined, and duplicitous as the communists we faced in the Cold War, Korea, Vietnam, and bush wars across the globe, and the Nazis we faced in World War II.
It is time we fully internalized and digested this fact, with all its ugly ramifications. These people have violated countless laws and could be prosecuted, had we the political power. Not only are their policies unconstitutional, but deliberately so — the goal being to make the Constitution irrelevant. Their spending is off the charts and will drive us into hyperinflation, but it could be rescinded, had we the political power. These policies are toxic, but they could be stopped and reversed, had we the political power. Their ideologies are poisonous, but they could be exposed for what they are, with long jail sentences as an object lesson, had we the political power.
Every single citizen who cares about this country should be spending every minute of his or her spare time lobbying, organizing, writing, and planning. Fight every initiative they launch. It is all destructive. If we are to root out this evil, it is critical that in 2010 we elect  competent, principled leaders willing to defend our Constitution and our country. Otherwise, the malevolent cabal that occupies the government today will become too entrenched.
After that, all bets are off.

The British Are Comming! The British Are Comming!

Did I say British? Wait, change that to “The Government Is Comming! The Government Is Comming!”

When in the course of human events it becomes nessesry for one people to separate themselves form their government it is a sad day. I am sorry to say that I think that day is drawing near. The Constitution of The United States has been ignored and rewritten too many times for too long. It is time to end all this nonsense.

General Motors has now become Government Motors. Where is all this nonsense going to stop? Just say NO-bama. NO-bama and his stooges are Marxists. They want to own the country not govern it.

This has all been documented in the Huxley book “Animal Farm”. If you have not read it please do your nation a favor and read it then pass it on.

Please find and attend a tea party in your area on April 15.

We must all find and support polititions that oppose this nonsense. If we can retake Congress from the radicals in 2010 They can stop this runnaway spending and government take-over of private industry. Please do this before NO-bama and his Marxist stooges find an excuse for delaying elections.

First they came for the bankers. I wasn’t a banker so I didn’t object.

Then they came for the auto companies. I didn’t work for an auto company so I didn’t object.

Then they came for the financial companies. I didn’t work for a financial company so I didn’t object.

Then they came for the health care companies. I didn’t work for a health care company so I didn’t object.

Then they came for me. There was no one left to object.

Don’t allow these Marxists to destroy this country.

Please post your ideas and comments. We must all unite.

Pass this post along to as many people as you can!!!

Amature Hour at the White House

March 7, 2009

It is obvious to me that Our Great President does not have the faintest idea of how to conduct diplomacy. The letter in this article tells the world how weak he is. Weakness in international matters invites disaster. We need to look like the Governator not Barny Fife. Openly agreeing to turn our backs on trusted allies is just plain wrong. Iran wants nukes and will get nukes if this is our trump card.

Israel will not stand by and let this happen. There will be a conflict and our ability to aid Israel will be greatly compromised by the inane handling of our economy which is heading us straight to bankruptsy.

Economic and social decline is coming unless we get responsible leadership in Washington.

President Obama letter to Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev offered deal on Iran

President Obama wrote Russia’s president suggesting the U.S. would scrap a missile defense system in Eastern Europe if Moscow helps stop Iran from building nukes and missiles, it was reported Monday.
The letter to Dmitry Medvedev was hand-delivered about three weeks after Obama took office, said The New York Times.
Officials who knew what was in it said Obama told Medvedev the U.S. wouldn’t need to go ahead with the interceptor system if Tehran stopped developing long-range weapons.
Russia has opposed the system since it was proposed during the Bush administration.
But the officials said Obama promised nothing directly for Moscow’s help, explaining his intention was to give the former Cold War rival incentive to join the U.S. in a common front against Iran.
“It’s almost saying to them put up or shut up,” a senior administration official told The Times.

Russian Professor Predicts End of U.S.

December 29, 2008

MOSCOW — For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010. For most of that time, he admits, few took his argument — that an economic and moral collapse will trigger a civil war and the eventual breakup of the U.S. — very seriously. Now he’s found an eager audience: Russian state media.

But it’s his bleak forecast for the U.S. that is music to the ears of the Kremlin, which in recent years has blamed Washington for everything from instability in the Middle East to the global financial crisis. Mr. Panarin’s views also fit neatly with the Kremlin’s narrative that Russia is returning to its rightful place on the world stage after the weakness of the 1990s, when many feared that the country would go economically and politically bankrupt and break into separate territories.

Mr. Panarin posits, in brief, that mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation will trigger a civil war next fall and the collapse of the dollar. Around the end of June 2010, or early July, he says, the U.S. will break into six pieces — with Alaska reverting to Russian control.

The professor says he’s convinced that people are taking his theory more seriously. People like him have forecast similar cataclysms before, he says, and been right. He cites French political scientist Emmanuel Todd. Mr. Todd is famous for having rightly forecast the demise of the Soviet Union — 15 years beforehand. “When he forecast the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1976, people laughed at him,” says Prof. Panarin.

Save Your 401-K Don’t Allow The Government to Get Their Hands On It

November 15, 2008

We all know about how the government wants to ‘Bail Out’ certain financial institutions. They want to do this by actually buying pieces of companies rather than just offer government secured or insured loans. This hugh bundle of our (taxpayers) hard earned money is even now being eyed by everyone and his uncle wanting their own piece of the action. On Monday they will begin considering payback to the UAW, a long time Democrat Party contributor.

When the government gets their mitts into anything it’s all but impossible to get them to let go. They just get more and more bold. They will want to take control of other areas of our lives.

The House Education and Labor Committee has been holding hearings on how the government can take control of your 401-K retirement accounts.

Teresa Ghilarducci, professor of economic-policy analysis at the New School for Social Research in New York, has been explaining how and why she thinks the government can do this.

She said “I’ve got a better plan. What we want to do, we want to take your 401(k) at its August level, before the crash. We’ll give you that equivalent and put it in your Social Security account, essentially, and we’re going to invest that money that we take from your retirement account, your 401(k), at its August level. We’re going to buy government bonds with it, which will guarantee you 3% — and then we will require that you put 5% of your pay into your 401(k) although it’s not yours anymore. The government owns it. They will manage it. They will take care of it, and then when your retirement day comes you’ll get your Social Security check and part of your check will be whatever your 401(k) monthly payout is, after 3% of growth every year under the stewardship of the government. ”

The main reason most Americans want their own retirement accounts is simple. We see how well the government has managed such things like Social Security and Medicare. The so called Social Security lock-box where your contributions are ‘kept’ doesn’t and has never existed. The money goes into the general fund and is used to pay current debts.

George Miller, who runs a congressional committee, Democrat in California, came out with the first notion of just getting rid of your being able to deduct form your income your contribution to your 401(k), that the government is “losing” $80 billion and we can’t afford lose that so they want to take that away.

George Miller seems to believe, as most liberal Democrats in Washington DC do, that all money in the country belongs to government. They then think that they should decide how much money you need.

A well known east coast Democrat recently said that he doesn’t understand why so many people have the simplistic notion that people who have earned accumulated wealth should be able to keep it.

This is simply socialism. Socialism with its strict government control over all facets of a nations economy always ends with the same result. Failure and poverty. This is the most prosperous country the world has ever know. Why do people want to turn it into a third world country. That’s simple. Under socialism, only the politicians have any wealth and a good standard of living.

Lets Give Our New President Elect a Chance

November 8, 2008

Most people who voted for Obama had no idea who he was or what he was. I guess the media did a good job selling him. McCain, although he is a good man, wasn’t picked by republicans to run. He was picked by Democrat crossover voters in states who allow non party members to vote under any ticket they want. After they did that they went back to their Democrat home. McCain is no conservative. He doesn’t seem to realize that when a republican walks across the aisle to work with Democrats they break your leg. If you reach across the aisle they break your arm. Their idea of bi-partisanship is simple. You give up your principals and do what we want. Coming together to them means that you compromise your ideas and accept theirs.

The biggest danger, even if Republicans regain control of congress in two years, will be all the judicial appointments that will be made in that time. I only hope that they will be unable to stack the supreme court with liberal appointments. FDR had 20 years to stack the court and it took a lifetime to turn it around.

Of course we must not be too cruel to our new president. We should not call him a liar.

We should not call him a liar when he said he wanted to bankrupt the coal industry.

We should not call him a liar when he said utility bills would skyrocket because of the coal industry being regulated and taxed to death.

We should not call him a liar when he said he wanted to redistribute the wealth.

We should not call him a liar when he said he wanted to replace the military with a civillian force.

We should not call him a liar when he said he wanted to meet with Iran without preconditions.

We should not call him a liar when he said he wanted to invade Pakistan.
We should not call Biden a liar when he said that supreme court appointments should be made based more on the nominees philosophical views than on their judicial temperment. Can you say litmus test?

Hold onto your money belt we are in for a five ticket ride.

I could go on and on but I think you get the point.

Drill Now, Drill Here, Pay Less

June 18, 2008

By Tom Bates

Read my editorial here.

Sign the American Solutions Pettition to Drill here for Oil.

This is a simple argument for simple folks like me.

Gas Prices have breached the $4.00 levee mark.
What should we do to bring prices down?

Mr Obama says we should increase to taxes on oil companies. Who honestly believes this will have any affect on lowering gas prices?

Mr. McCain says we should drill now, drill here, and pay less.

I do not have an MBA from Harvard but it seems to me that an increase in supply, rather than higher taxes on oil companies, that will just be paid by consumers to increase their burdens, will have a better chance to reduce prices.

The environmentelists do not want any drilling any where any time. They want us to live in teepes and become vegitarians.

How did these people get such control over government policy? Easy, they purchased it. Our polititions are the best dressed men and women money can buy.

Well it’s time to put an end to this. We must buy our country back with our votes.

Please click on the American Solutions link above to sign the pettition. Do it for yourself and your children.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President Bush and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso at a White House summit meeting last April where they launched the Transatlantic Economic Council
Six U.S. senators and 49 House members are advisers for a group working toward a Transatlantic Common Market between the U.S. and the European Union by 2015.

The Transatlantic Policy Network – a non-governmental organization headquartered in Washington and Brussels – is advised by the bi-partisan congressional TPN policy group, chaired by Sen. Robert Bennett, R-Utah.

The plan – currently being implemented by the Bush administration with the formation of the Transatlantic Economic Council in April 2007 – appears to be following a plan written in 1939 by a world-government advocate who sought to create a Transatlantic Union as an international governing body.

An economist from the World Bank has argued in print that the formation of the Transatlantic Common Market is designed to follow the blueprint of Jean Monnet, a key intellectual architect of the European Union, recognizing that economic integration must inevitably lead to political integration.

As WND previously reported, a key step in advancing this goal was the creation of the Transatlantic Economic Council by the U.S. and the EU through an agreement signed by President Bush, German Chancellor Angela Merkel – the current president of the European Council – and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso at a White House summit meeting last April.

Writing in the Fall 2007 issue of the Streit Council journal “Freedom and Union,” Rep. Jim Costa, D-Calif., a member of the TPN advisory group, affirmed the target date of 2015 for the creation of a Transatlantic Common Market.

Costa said the Transatlantic Economic Council is tasked with creating the Transatlantic Common Market regulatory infrastructure. The infrastructure would not require congressional approval, like a new free-trade agreement would.

Writing in the same issue of the Streit Council publication, Bennett also confirmed that what has become known as the “Merkel initiative” would allow the Transatlantic Economic Council to integrate and harmonize administrative rules and regulations between the U.S. and the EU “in a very quiet way,” without introducing a new free trade agreement to Congress.

Sen. Robert Bennett, R-Utah

No document on the TEC website suggests that any of the regulatory changes resulting from the process of integrating with the EU will be posted in the Federal Register or submitted to Congress as new free-trade agreements or as modifications to existing trade agreements.

In addition to Bennett, the advisers to the Transatlantic Policy Network includes the following senators: Thad Cochran, R-Miss.; Chuck Hagel, R-Neb.; Barbara Mikulski, D-Md.; Pat Roberts, R-Kan.; and Gordon Smith, R-Ore.

Among the 49 U.S. congressmen on the TPN’s Congressional Group are John Boehner, R-Ohio; John Dingell, D-Mich.; Kenny Marchant, R-Texas; and F. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wisc.

WND contacted Bennett’s office for comment but received no return call by the publication deadline.

A progress report on the TEC website indicates the following U.S. government agencies are already at work integrating and harmonizing administrative rules and regulations with their EU counterparts: The Office of Management and Budget, the Food and Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A step toward world government

The Streit Council is named after Clarence K. Streit, whose 1939 book “Union Now” called for the creation of a Transatlantic Union as a step toward world government. The new federation, with an international constitution, was to include the 15 democracies of U.S., UK, France, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and South Africa.

Ira Straus, the founder and U.S. coordinator of the Committee on Eastern Europe and Russia in NATO, a group dedicated to including Russia within NATO, credits Bennett as TPN chairperson with reviving Streit’s work “seven decades later.”

A globalist with leftist political leanings, Straus was a Fulbright professor of political science at Moscow State University and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations from 2001 to 2002.

The congruity of ideas between Bennett and Streit is clear when Bennett writes passages that echo precisely goals Streit stated in 1939.

One example is Bennett’s claim in his Streit Council article that creating a Transatlantic Common Market would combine markets that comprise 60 percent of world Gross Domestic Product under a common regulatory standard that would become “the de facto world standard, regardless of what any other parties say.”

Similarly, Streit wrote in “Union Now” that the economic power of the 15 democracies he sought to combine in a Transatlantic Union would be overwhelming in their economic power and a clear challenge to the authoritarian states then represented by Nazi Germany and the communist Soviet Union.

Also writing in the Fall 2007 issue of the Streit Council journal “Freedom and Union,” World Bank economist Domenec Ruiz Devesa openly acknowledged that “transatlantic economic integration, though important in itself, is not the end.”

“As understood by Jean Monnet,” he continued, “economic integration must and will lead to political integration, since an integrated market requires common institutions producing common rules to govern it.”

Transatlantic Common Market by 2015

Last February, the Transatlantic Policy Network formed a Transatlantic Market Implementation Group to put in place “a roadmap and framework” to direct the activity of the Transatlantic Economic Council to achieve the creation of the Transatlantic Common Market by 2015.

The Transatlantic Economic Council is an official international governmental body established by executive fiat in the U.S. and the EU without congressional approval or oversight. No new law or treaty was sought by the Bush administration to approve or implement the plan to create a Transatlantic Common Market.

The U.S. congressmen and senators are involved only indirectly, as advisers to the influential non-governmental organization.

In a February 2007 document entitled “Completing the Transatlantic Market,” the TPN’s Transatlantic Market Implementation Group writes, “The aim of this roadmap and framework would be to remove barriers to trade and investment across the Atlantic and to reduce regulatory compliance costs.”

The document further acknowledged the impact the Transatlantic Common Market agenda would have on U.S. and European legislators: “The roadmap and framework will necessarily oblige legislative and regulatory authorities in both Europe and the United States to take into consideration from the outset the impact their acts may have on transatlantic economic relations and to ensure that their respective governmental bodies involved have the necessary budgetary and organizational resources to work closely with each other.”

Clinton administration roots

The work to create a Transatlantic Common Market can be traced back to the Clinton administration’s decision to join in the 1995 New Transatlantic Agenda with the European Commission.

Today, the website of the Transatlantic Economic Council openly proclaims the TEC is “a political body to oversee and accelerate government-to-government integration between the European Union and the United States of America.”

The first meeting of the TEC was held Nov. 9 in Washington, D.C., and the next meeting is scheduled for June.

A joint statement issued at the Nov. 9 meeting specified progress was being made “in removing barriers to trade and investment and in easing regulatory burdens” in a wide range of policy areas, including drugs and disease control, the importation into the EU of U.S. poultry treated with pathogen reduction treatments, federal communication commissions allowing suppliers to create declarations of conformity for products, uniform standards for electrical products and agreements on standards for pure biofuels.

A very short editorial

Any acquired wealth should be up to the acquirer to spend in any way they see fit.

If you disagree, step up and lead by example. It doesn’t take a billionaire to make a difference.

OK Hillary, if you honestly believe in your re-distribution of wealth then get off your pile of millions and show us how its done.

Thats what I thought.

The deficit for the first five months of the budget year is down sharply from a year ago as the growth in government tax collections continues to outpace growth in spending.
The Treasury Department reported that the deficit from October through February totaled $162.2 billion, down 25.5 percent from the same period last year.

That improvement came even though the deficit in February hit $120 billion, up 0.6 percent from last February’s deficit of $119.2 billion.

The government had larger-than-expected surpluses in December and January.

For the budget year that began Oct. 1, revenues are up by 9.3 percent to a record $954.4 billion.
